Plastic waste is a big problem in Laos. Especially in rural areas. We work with the Northern Agriculture & Forestry College and support their education projects in schools and villages. Since many years there are ongoing initiatives to expand waste separation and recycling options. Mostly the people are working volunteer. Patihoub is a social business transforming plastic waste in Laos into valuable, stylish and recyclable products.
We ourselves supported these animal protecting organizations with our visits and definitely recommend a stay, a guided tour or a day visit!
In our private lives and business matters, we always try to use nature's resources in an ecological and sustainable manner. Find solutions using local options and materials, interfere with nature as little as possible and remain flexible with our personal needs.
